The bold languages below are enabled for auto language switching, meaning there is no need to change any settings, and the language will be dynamically auto detected for sessions where multiple languages are spoken in the one sesson.

Bilingual clients rarely stay in one language for fifty minutes. They move into their first language for the difficult material and back again for the practical parts. Most transcription tools make you pick one language before you press record, then produce nonsense for everything that follows.
NovoNote transcribes each stretch of speech in the language it was actually spoken in, across a single recording, and then writes one continuous note in the output language you selected. For 22 of the 75 languages below, the switch is detected automatically with no setup. If you work in a pair where detection is less reliable, you can name the expected languages before you record.
- Automatic language detection. NovoNote identifies the spoken language for most supported languages without you selecting anything.
- Mid-session switching. Code-switching within a sentence or across a whole segment is transcribed in the language it was used in.

Yes. The language of the session and the language of the note are set independently. A session conducted in Vietnamese can produce an English clinical note, and an English session can produce a Mandarin summary for the client. You choose the output language before generating the note.
NovoNote handles code-switching within a single recording. It transcribes each stretch of speech in the language it was spoken in, then produces one continuous note in whichever output language you have chosen. Auto detection is available for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Urdu, and Turkish. You will need to explicitly turn multilingual mode on for other languages.
Yes. Interpreter-mediated sessions are recorded the same way as any other. Speaker separation keeps the clinician, client and interpreter distinct, and you can generate the note in the language of your service. Moreover, Novonote will correctly label the interpreter as an interpreter, so your clinical record reflects that they were in the room.
That is set by your service and your regulator, not by NovoNote. You can choose which language to write your notes in by selecting a template written in that language.
