Inbound Sales & Business Development Representative (USA)

United States (remote). Full-time.
NovoPsych exists to help mental health clinicians improve their client outcomes. Behind every one of the assessments we deliver is a clinician sitting with someone who is struggling, trying to understand them well enough to help. Everything we build is in service of that moment.
Since 2012, more than 75,000 mental health professionals across Australia, North America, the UK, Europe and New Zealand have used NovoPsych’s 150+ validated assessments and NovoNote, our AI scribe and clinical writing assistant. Clinicians trust us because we are scientist-led: clinical psychologists and PhD psychometricians work alongside our engineers, and we publish our research in peer-reviewed journals.
We are growing fast and are still small enough at around 30 people that every hire shapes the company. If you want your work to change how mental health care is delivered around the world, and you move quickly, this is the place.
Turn interest into customers. Clinicians and practices across the US contact us every week wanting to know more about NovoPsych. You’ll be the person who answers fast, understands what they need, and gets them up and running.
The opportunity
Our US growth has been driven by word of mouth and search, not a sales team. That means a steady stream of inbound enquiries from therapists, group practices and behavioral health organizations, and not enough people following up. You’ll be our first dedicated US sales hire, with the chance to build the playbook and grow with it.
What you’ll do
- Respond to every inbound enquiry quickly, ideally within the hour, by phone, email or video.
- Run discovery calls and demos that show clinicians how NovoPsych and NovoNote fit their practice.
- Quote and close group-practice and multi-seat plans, and hand larger or enterprise opportunities to our Head of Customer Success.
- Reach out to practices where several clinicians have already signed up, and turn them into practice-wide accounts.
- Run light outbound to group practices and clinics once inbound is under control.
- Keep our CRM accurate: every lead, call and deal logged, with clear next steps.
- Test and improve messaging, follow-up sequences and demo flow, and share what works.
- Feed what you hear from prospects back to product and marketing.
You’ll thrive here if you…
- Are a hard worker who owns outcomes and loves hitting a number.
- Are ambitious, coachable and want to grow into a senior sales role as we scale.
- Can earn trust with clinicians by listening first and selling second.
- Care about mental health and want your work to help people get better care.
Selection criteria
- Sales experience of any kind, ideally 1–3 years in SaaS, healthcare or inside sales.
- Clear, warm communication on the phone, on video and in writing.
- Strong follow-through and organisation, with experience using a CRM (HubSpot, Freshsales, Salesforce or similar).
- Comfort working independently with a team in another time zone.
Nice to have
- A degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a health field.
- Experience selling to private practices or behavioral health organizations.
- Experience using AI tools to speed up research, follow-up or admin.
What success looks like in 12 months
- Every inbound enquiry answered within one business hour.
- Demo-to-paid conversion measurably higher than today, tracked monthly.
- A steady flow of new US group-practice accounts and growing monthly recurring revenue from your deals.
- A documented sales playbook the next US hire can follow.
What we offer
- A ground-floor role in a profitable, fast-growing clinical technology company with global reach.
- A product clinicians already love and actively ask about.
- Competitive base salary plus commission.
- Remote work and autonomy.
- A clear path to grow as we build our US team.
